Dr. Christina Youngren
Licensed Naturopathic Doctor
Dr. Christina Youngren is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor in both California
and Arizona. A graduate of Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and
Health Sciences (www.scnm.edu), Dr. Youngren completed her undergraduate
training at the University of Minnesota and additional medical prerequisites
with a biochemistry concentration from San Francisco State University.
Dr. Youngren's two-year clinical internship included training in all
naturopathic modalities, with a concentration in Environmental Medicine.
Combining therapies used to treat environmental exposure, Dr. Youngren
applies knowledge from this specialty when working with couples to enhance
fertility and ensure proper preconception care. Her technique can include
interpretation of specific labs including but not limited to Food Allergy
Testing, Micronutrient Testing, and Heavy Metal Testing.
Overall, her treatment protocols carefully blend evidence-based medical
science with natural therapies to treat the underlying cause of disease.
Although achieving symptomatic relief is often necessary and vital, getting
to the fundamental source of imbalanced health is her number one priority.
Dr. Youngren carefully considers each individual and their condition when
prescribing nutritional and supplemental support. With a "less is more"
philosophy, she is able to assess the best treatment plan for her patients.
In line with Naturopathic philosophy, Dr. Youngren's goal will always be to
use the least invasive approach.
Dr. Youngren believes that each patient should be empowered with knowledge
and a full understanding of their current health situation, and best ways to
prevent recurrence. When deemed necessary, she will prescribe nutritional
and pharmacological support, order necessary lab work, and consult with
and/or refer to specialists. She is a member of the American Association of
Naturopathic Doctors (AANP) and the California Naturopathic Doctors
Association (CNDA).
