ABOUT LILA
Lila Maes is a both a practitioner of the healing arts and a visual artist. She is a graduate of San Francisco State University with a background in Textile and Design. Lila is a Licensed Esthetician in the State of California and has practiced in both the U.S. and Mexico over the last three years. She has trained and completed the massage intensive at the Esalen Institute. Lila has been co-producer of the Dia de los Muertos Procession in San Francisco and toured nationally with The Hip Hop Film Festival, and has also worked in fundraising and event planning for various cultural events. She has worked with at-risk adolescents to empower them through performance, spoken word, and theatre skills. She is currently working on several creative projects including developing skin care recipes from local vegetation, a collection of hearts made from reclaimed glass, and working with her mother on a series of bronze sculpture.
